I started this blog when, on Twitter, I came across a debate about whether it was truly manly for a man to say “Let me ask my wife”. I went down the rabbit hole and found, on the one hand, ultra-liberal women basically arguing that a man shouldn’t take a breath without their approval; on the other, ultra-conservatives (of both genders) arguing that a woman should be submissive to her husband to the point of asking his permission to go and have coffee with a friend.

Neither of these positions represented me well, and surely I wasn’t the only one in that position. Too conservative or too liberal for some, not enough for others… I wanted a space for moderate, rational women to discuss issues that young women face today. Covering a number of subjects, I share things I thought were interesting, surprising, or informative on a variety of subjects for women’s health, dating, fashion, career, or beauty.
